I have been fascinated by capturing moments in light with photography since I was very young. My father was a photographer and videographer in the days of Super 8 and we still have heaps of slides of the times of our lives. And through years as a child tearing through each new National Geographic Magazine, which hosts many of the best photographers of the time, the interest in traveling the wild places of the world and capturing them to share was a seed planted to grow later.

Indeed, after a dalliance with photography as a teenager, I had a resurgence of interest later in life due, in large part, from an interest in capturing the moments of my kid's childhoods. The interest in nature photography has deepened with experience of both the technology and the time spent in the wilds of his home state of Colorado.
